1. What we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to run the service: your email, name, and authentication provider details when you sign up. We also store the links you create, click analytics (IP hashes, user agents, referrers), and payment history if you upgrade.
2. How we use it
Your data is used solely to provide the alterlink service: shortening URLs, tracking clicks you authorize, managing your account, and processing payments. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Cookies & tracking
We use session cookies to keep you signed in. Analytics cookies are opt-in. Third-party OAuth providers (Google, GitHub) may set their own cookies during sign-in; see their privacy policies for details.
4. Data retention
Link data and click analytics are retained until you delete your account or the link. Account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days.
5. Your rights
You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. For GDPR or other data requests, contact us at privacy@alterlink.app.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Significant changes will be emailed to registered users.
