Everything you need to create your first shortened link.
1. Create an account
Head to the sign-in page and authenticate with Google or GitHub. No password to remember, no email verification dance. Your free account is ready immediately and includes 50 links.
2. Shorten your first URL
From the dashboard, paste any long URL into the input field and hit Create. alterlink will generate a random 7-character slug and give you a clean short link like alterlink.app/a3f9k2m.
3. Share and track
Copy the short link and paste it anywhere — social posts, emails, QR codes, or ad campaigns. Clicks are tracked in real time and you can view basic analytics on the free plan.
4. Upgrade when you need more
The Creator plan unlocks custom slugs, unlimited links, and detailed analytics for $9 per year. Upgrade anytime from the billing page — no credit card required until you decide to pay.
